Terms of Use
Effective July 2026
(This is the disclosure required by federal law. We haven't altered its substance — only its formatting — because the wording of this notice is prescribed by statute and shouldn't be paraphrased.)
You have a right to dispute inaccurate information in your credit report by contacting the credit bureau directly. Neither you nor any credit repair company has the right to have accurate, current, and verifiable information removed from your credit report. A credit bureau must remove accurate negative information only once it's over seven years old; bankruptcy information can be reported for ten years.
You have a right to obtain a copy of your credit report from a credit bureau, generally for a reasonable fee — free if you've been turned down for credit, employment, insurance, or a rental within the preceding 60 days. The bureau must also provide someone to help you interpret your file.
You have a right to sue a credit repair organization that violates the Credit Repair Organizations Act, which prohibits deceptive practices by such organizations.
You have the right to cancel your contract with any credit repair organization, for any reason, within 3 business days of signing it.
Credit bureaus must follow reasonable procedures to keep reported information accurate. You may notify a bureau directly, in writing, that you dispute something on your file; the bureau must investigate and correct or remove inaccurate or incomplete information, at no charge to you.
The FTC regulates credit bureaus and credit repair organizations. Contact: Federal Trade Commission, 600 Pennsylvania Avenue NW, Washington, D.C. 20580.
Fix My Reports is self-service software. You review your own credit reports, decide what to dispute, and draft your own letters under the FCRA — we never contact a bureau or furnisher on your behalf. Every letter carries your name, your signature, and is mailed by you (or by our print-and-mail partner, at your explicit direction).
Opening an account means you agree to these Terms and to our Privacy Policy. Here's what that gets you:
- Linked reports and scores from the credit monitoring partner you authorize
- Automated analysis flagging potentially inaccurate, incomplete, outdated, or unverifiable items
- Dispute letter drafting for personal info, tradelines, collections, and inquiries — up to 5 items per letter, per round
- Round-over-round tracking as your report refreshes on a 45-day cycle
- Educational content on FCRA rights, budgeting, and credit building
You're at least 18, a U.S. resident, and using this for your own personal credit file — not on behalf of a business or another person. You agree to provide accurate identifying information (such as name, address, and other details) so we can generate accurate dispute letters for the credit bureaus.
Linking a credit monitoring account authorizes us to store your report/score data and refresh it through the partner's API on the cadence you choose. We never see or store your partner login — the match happens by email lookup. Disconnect anytime from the portal.
We charge a monthly subscription; current pricing and trial terms show at signup and in your portal. You authorize recurring charges to your payment method on file until you cancel.
- A failed payment is retried for up to three business days before the account is suspended.
- Fees are non-refundable except as required by law or explicitly stated at signup.
- Third-party services you separately connect (credit monitoring, print-and-mail) bill you directly under their own terms.
- Dispute only what you have a good-faith belief is inaccurate, incomplete, outdated, or unverifiable
- Actually read each letter before signing and mailing it — never send something you know to be false
- Protect your login; you're responsible for what happens under your account
- Tell us if your address, email, or phone changes
- Don't reverse-engineer the platform or use it to service someone else's file
Not a law firm, not a credit counselor, not a credit reporting agency. The software gives you templates, analysis, and reminders — not legal or financial advice, and using it doesn't create an attorney-client relationship. Talk to a licensed attorney for legal advice.
We don't promise a specific score change, item removal, loan approval, or interest rate. Results depend on your report's underlying accuracy, how bureaus and furnishers respond, and factors outside anyone's control. Anything shown on our marketing site is illustrative of the software, not a guarantee of your personal outcome.
You can cancel at any time, without penalty. Use the in-app flow, email info@fixmyreports.com, or mail a signed cancellation notice to the address below. Cancelling Fix My Reports doesn't cancel any separate subscription you hold elsewhere (like your credit monitoring plan) — that's between you and that provider.
- No disputing someone else's file without their explicit written authorization and ID
- No scraping, reselling, or redistributing the platform or its output
- No uploading unlawful, infringing, or malicious content
- Violating this may get your account suspended or terminated
The software, templates, analysis logic, and UI belong to Fix My Reports and its licensors. Your subscription grants a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to use it for your own file. The letters generated for you are yours to sign and send.
We integrate with outside services — credit monitoring, payments, email, mailing, hosting. Each is governed by its own terms; we're not responsible for their content or uptime.
The service is provided as-is, without warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, or non-infringement. We don't guarantee uninterrupted, error-free operation, or that third-party credit data is fully accurate.
To the extent the law allows, Fix My Reports isn't liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or lost profits, arising from your use of the service. Total liability for any claim is capped at what you paid us in the 12 months before the claim.
You agree to cover Fix My Reports for claims, losses, or reasonable attorney's fees arising from your use of the service, your breach of these Terms, or your violation of someone else's rights or the law.
These Terms follow New Jersey law, and disputes are resolved in New Jersey state or federal court, with jurisdiction consented to accordingly. Nothing here limits your rights under the Credit Repair Organizations Act or other consumer protection law.
We may update these Terms; material changes get a new effective date and, where required, direct notice. Continuing to use the platform after that means you accept the update.
You may cancel this contract without penalty or obligation at any time.
