Terms of Use

Effective November 2025

Consumer Credit File Rights Under State and Federal Law

You have a right to dispute inaccurate information in your credit report by contacting the credit bureau directly. However, neither you nor any "credit repair" company or credit repair organization has the right to have accurate, current, and verifiable information removed from your credit report. The credit bureau must remove accurate, negative information from your report only if it is over seven years old. Bankruptcy information can be reported for ten years.

You have a right to obtain a copy of your credit report from a credit bureau. You may be charged a reasonable fee. There is no fee, however, if you have been turned down for credit, employment, insurance, or a rental dwelling because of information in your credit report within the preceding 60 days. The credit bureau must provide someone to help you interpret the information in your credit file.

You have a right to sue a credit repair organization that violates the Credit Repair Organization Act. This law prohibits deceptive practices by credit repair organizations.

You have the right to cancel your contract with any credit repair organization for any reason within 3 business days from the date you signed it.

Credit bureaus are required to follow reasonable procedures to ensure that the information they report is accurate. However, mistakes may occur. You may, on your own, notify a credit bureau in writing that you dispute the accuracy of information in your credit file. The credit bureau must then reinvestigate and modify or remove inaccurate or incomplete information. The credit bureau may not charge a fee for this service.

The Federal Trade Commission regulates credit bureaus and credit repair organizations. For more information contact: Federal Trade Commission, 600 Pennsylvania Avenue NW, Washington, D.C. 20580.

What Fix My Reports is

Fix My Reports is a self-service software platform that helps U.S. consumers analyze their own credit reports, draft their own dispute letters under the Fair Credit Reporting Act (FCRA), and track the results. You are the consumer; Fix My Reports does not contact the bureaus, furnishers, or CRAs on your behalf. Every letter is generated in your name, signed by you, and mailed by you (or by our print-and-mail partner at your direction).

By opening a Fix My Reports account you agree to these Terms and to our Privacy Policy, and you gain access to:

  1. Link your credit reports and scores from a credit monitoring partner you authorize.
  2. Analyze your reports to identify potentially inaccurate, incomplete, outdated, or unverifiable information.
  3. Draft dispute letters for personal information corrections, tradelines, collections, and inquiries — capped at 5 items per letter per round.
  4. Track your results as reports refresh on a 45-day cadence and see what changed round over round.
  5. Access educational resources covering FCRA rights, budgeting, and credit building.
Eligibility

You must be at least 18 years old, a U.S. resident, and using the service for your own personal, non-commercial credit file. You agree to provide accurate information (name, address, SSN, date of birth) and to upload valid government-issued ID and proof of address so that bureaus and furnishers can verify the disputes you send.

Authorizations

When you link a credit monitoring account to Fix My Reports, you authorize us to store your credit report and score information and to retrieve updated reports through your linked partner's API on the cadence you select. We do not ask for or store your partner account password — the connection is made by email lookup through the partner. You can disconnect the linked account at any time from the portal.

Fees and billing

Fix My Reports charges a monthly software subscription. Current pricing and any trial terms are shown at signup and in your portal. You authorize recurring monthly charges to the payment method on file until you cancel.

  • If a payment fails, we will retry the card for up to three business days. If it still fails, your account is suspended until you update the card.
  • Fees are non-refundable except where required by law or as expressly stated at signup.
  • Third-party services you connect (for example, credit monitoring, print-and-mail) are billed separately by those providers under their own terms.
Your responsibilities
  • Only dispute items you have a good-faith belief are inaccurate, incomplete, outdated, or unverifiable.
  • Review every letter before you sign and mail it. Do not send letters containing statements you know to be false.
  • Keep your login credentials secure. You are responsible for activity that occurs under your account.
  • Notify us of any change in your mailing address, email, or phone number.
  • Do not attempt to reverse-engineer, resell, or use the platform to service other consumers' files.
No legal, financial, or credit-repair-company advice

Fix My Reports is not a law firm, credit counselor, or credit reporting agency. The software provides templates, analysis, and reminders — not legal or financial advice. Using our software does not create an attorney-client relationship. If you need legal advice, consult a licensed attorney.

No guaranteed results

We do not promise any specific credit score change, item removal, loan approval, or interest rate. Outcomes depend on the accuracy of the information on your reports, the responses of the bureaus and furnishers, and factors outside our control. Any examples shown on our website are illustrative of the software, not a guarantee of your results.

Cancellation

You may cancel this contract without penalty or obligation at any time. You may cancel by using the in-app cancellation flow, by emailing info@fixmyreports.com, or by mailing a signed, dated cancellation notice to the address below. Cancelling your Fix My Reports subscription does not cancel any third-party subscription (such as your credit monitoring plan) you signed up for separately — contact that provider directly.

Acceptable use
  • No use on behalf of another person's credit file without their explicit written authorization and identity documents.
  • No automated scraping, resale, or redistribution of the platform or its output.
  • No uploading of content that is unlawful, infringing, or contains malware.
  • We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms or applicable law.
Intellectual property

The software, letter templates, analysis logic, UI, and content are owned by Fix My Reports and its licensors. You receive a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to use the platform for your personal credit file while your subscription is active. Letters generated for your file are yours to sign and send.

Third-party services

The platform integrates with third-party services (credit monitoring, payments, email, mailing, hosting). Your use of those services is governed by their own terms and privacy policies. We are not responsible for the content or availability of third-party services.

Disclaimers

The service is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. We do not warrant that the service will be uninterrupted, timely, secure, or error-free, or that credit report data supplied by third parties will be accurate or complete.

Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Fix My Reports and its officers, employees, and agents will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or any loss of profits or revenue, whether incurred directly or indirectly, arising from your use of the service. Our aggregate liability for any claim arising from these Terms or the service will not exceed the amount you paid to Fix My Reports in the 12 months preceding the claim.

Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold Fix My Reports harmless from any claim, demand, loss, or expense (including reasonable attorneys' fees) arising out of your use of the service, your violation of these Terms, or your violation of any law or the rights of a third party.

Dispute resolution and governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of New Jersey without regard to conflict-of-law rules. Any dispute will be resolved in the state or federal courts located in New Jersey, and you consent to personal jurisdiction there. Nothing in this section limits any right you have under the Credit Repair Organizations Act or other applicable consumer protection law.

Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. Material changes will be posted on this page with a new effective date and, where required, we will notify you by email or in-app notice. Continued use after the effective date constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
